MELBOURNE v NORTH MELBOURNE
Saturday 22 June @ MCG
Very few storylines coming into this!!!! It's more like too many storylines.
For Melbourne it is all about the sadness for Christian Petracca and what that will mean for the next ten games. Likely his loss from the team will halt a finals surge.
For North it is what might have been. Not just winning back to back games but taking the scalp of Collingwood.
The Demons have a lot of things to consider and not all are of their own making. Now sans Petracca and Brayshaw, they've lost a good portion of their expected starting midfield.
If recent history is anything to go by, Clayton Oliver will be getting the big tag now. Add to that how they played on King's Birthday and you have issues.
Similarly the Kangas played the Pies but were so much better. Everyone acknowledges that they were harmed by late decisions – some by themselves and others by officials.
It doesn't take away how they played. For ¾ they were excellent. You could see the green shoots.
Match | Melbourne | North Melbourne | Ground |

Last 12 games Melbourne has averaged 101 points |
North really should be going close here. They have Melbourne in some vulnerability. But at some time the Demons can do enough.
