The four leading Aussies all went backwards in the field as American Christine Song took a two shot lead at eight-under-par 136 after a two-under 66 at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Florida on Thursday.
South Australia's Stephanie Na slipped from a share of fifth to tied 37th at four-over with a round of 78 on the Legends course.
Rookie pro Julia Boland of Tamworth shot a 77 on the Champions course and fell to tied 64th (six-over).
Melbourne's Alison Whitaker struggled to an 80 on the Legends and was tied 83rd while rookie Emma DeGroot (NSW) had another 77 to be tied 107 at 10-over.
The fifth Australian, Kristie Smith (WA) improved on her opening 80 with a 75 but was way back in a tie for 118th at 11-over.
Seventeen-year-old American Ginger Howard, trying to become only the fourth black player on the LPGA Tour, was five-over after a 79 on the Legends Course.
The top 40 and ties after five rounds will receive 2012 US LPGA Tour membership.
