Joshua Brillante has signed a two-year deal with A-League club Newcastle.
Newcastle have recruited Young Socceroo Joshua Brillante on a two-year A-League deal.
Brillante has previously played with North Queensland Fury and Gold Coast United, but most notably was a part of Australia's undefeated campaign at the Asian under-19 championship qualification tournament in November last year.
The 19-year-old shone at National Youth League level for the Gold Coast, winning the club's `youth star of the future' award in 2010.
Jets coach Gary van Egmond was thrilled to sign a played with international experience.
"Josh is a member of the under 20's national team and has proven himself at A-League level with Gold Coast last season," van Egmond said.
"He can play as a right-back or central midfielder and has a great attitude.
"Again, he is definitely one for the future."
