Going back to the very first tournament in 1955, the Women's PGA Championship has established itself as one of the main events on the LPGA circuit.

One of the five majors in the women's game, here's a look at Australia's chances of delivering a winner in Sammamish, Washington this weekend.

Green one to watch

After winning the HSBC Women's World Championship in Singapore this year, Hannah Green is certainly a player to keep an eye on at Sahalee.

The 27-year-old became just the fifth Australian to win at least four titles on the LPGA Tour with her success in Asia.

Now looking to repeat that impressive display in the United States, Green is available at 36.00 to win this year's Women's PGA Championship.

Lee hoping to shine before Olympics

Set to represent Australia at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, Minjee Lee has impressed in this tournament in the past.

Finishing tied for second at the 2022 Women's PGA Championship, the Perth star has shown she can mix it with the best at this event.

With two major titles already to her name, at the US Women's Open and the Evian Championship, the 28-year-old Lee is certainly a contender to take the tile at odds of 46.00.

Ruffels eyeing best finish

American-born Aussie representative Gabriela Ruffels' best finish at a major was at the US Women's Open in 2020 where she managed to finish tied for 13th.

Also finishing tied 15th at the Chevron Championship in the same year, Ruffles is yet to really challenge for one of the majors going into the final round.

At the age of just 24, time is certainly on her side and she will be looking to take that next step in the right direction at Sahalee Country Club this week.

For someone who only started focusing from tennis to golf in 2015, Ruffels is now 56.00 to claim the first major title of her career at the 2024 Women's PGA Championship.

Outsiders for the title

There are other Australian representatives also set to feature in Washington this week, at big prices to cause an upset in this year's competition.

Kim Grace and Stephanie Kyriacou are both available at 126.00 to claim the major title, while Hira Naveed is currently 351.00 to finish top of the leaderboard.

Sarah Kemp is 501.00 in the outright market, while the biggest price is for Robyn Choi, who is currently 751.00.
