Brisbane and Greater Western Sydney both have opportunities to boost their top-eight hopes when they take on West Coast and Richmond respectively on Sunday.
The Lions are on a hot streak of form at the moment and will fancy their chances of keeping the run going when they travel to Perth to take on West Coast.
It has been a tough week for the Eagles, who have parted company with head coach Adam Simpson and things will not get any easier against the Lions.
GWS sit one spot below the Lions, occupying eighth place on the ladder and four points is a must when they take on the Tigers at the MCG.
The ladder is tight to say the least. Gold Coast Suns in 13th are just one win away from the eight, so every game between now and the end of the regular season is crucial.
With that in mind, nothing other than a win will do for either Brisbane or GWS on Sunday afternoon.
