Progressive Darren Weir-trained filly Think Bleue has advanced quickly after winning a 3YO fillies' maiden (1400m) at Ballarat on 6 February to take out this Group race and take her record to three wins from six starts. She settled back in seventh place (one off the rails), improved nicely nearing the 600m, made a wide move at the home turn, dashed to the front coming to the 100m and then fought back to win well. She looks a filly with a good future. Godolphin-raced filly Harmattan raced in ninth place, tracking the eventual winner, went widest of all at the home turn, sprinted well to challenge at the 50m and battled strongly for a very good second, her only defeat in three starts to date. Hardly Surprising had a nice trip in fourth place, one out and one back, challenged at the home turn, hit the front on straightening and held on well for third. Lightly raced Mick Kent-trained filly Jungle Fish was seventh on the rails, fanned deeper at the home turn, took a while to wind up and then made good late ground for fourth, looking suited to further. Still a maiden after three starts, she is a filly to watch.
