More Group 1 goals for Goodwood winning son of Kuroshio.
Saturday's Goodwood (Gr 1, 1200m) winner Savatoxl (Kuroshio) will shoot for more Group 1 glory in the Kingsford-Smith Cup (Gr 1, 1300m) at Eagle Farm on May 29.
The Tony and Calvin McEvoy-trained five-year-old gelding ran out a shock winner of the Goodwood last weekend, having taken out the DC McKay Stakes (Gr 3, 1100m) two weeks earlier and has come through Saturday's race in great order.
"We hope there is another chapter to come. He seems to have absolutely bounced through the run well," McEvoy told Racing.com on Monday.
"I was talking to Linda Ward, our foreman there at Angaston, and she described him as a savage in the feed bin this morning. They seem to be pretty happy.
"We will give it a couple of days to make sure everything is alright. We want to get him on a flight and continue the good, winning note with the Kingsford Smith up there."
Bought for just $8,000 by Alice Springs Turf Club at the 2017 Inglis Melbourne VOBIS Gold Yearling Sale, Savatoxl became the first Group One winner for his sire Kuroshio (Exceed And Excel) who now resides permanently in Europe.
