Devine Actress (Theatrical) died at Mill Ridge Farm in Lexington due to haemorrhaging after foaling a filly by Not This Time (Giant's Causeway). The mare, who is the dam of young Mill Ridge Farm-based sire Oscar Performance (Kitten's Joy), was 18.

A three-time winner, Nicola Bloodstock mated Devine Actress to Kitten's Joy (El Prado) for her second and third foals, on behalf of owners John and Jerry Amerman. The first of these matings produced multiple Graded winner Oscar Nominated and the second was Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf (8f) winner Oscar Performance, who added two further Grade 1 victories to his resume at three.

"Devine Actress had been a part of the Mill Ridge family since 2010. It is hard to lose such an outstanding mare who provided so much," said Price Bell, general manager of Mill Ridge Farm.

"She left a lasting legacy with her son Oscar Performance, who was born, raised and is now standing at stud here on the farm. We are thankful for her life and contribution to this sport we all love."

Oscar Performance's first crop are now three-year-olds.
