Thus farm Galileo is responsible for four of the top eight lots sold, although the honour for having the highest priced yearling to date now belongs to his Coolmore barnmate Danehill Dancer.

Jim Bolger has enjoyed tremendous success with progeny of Galileo in recent times, highlighted by Derby winner New Approach and triple Group 1 winner Lush Lashes.

The trainer went to €500,000 to secure a Galileo colt (ex Sateen, by Barathea) from the family of triple Oaks winner Alexandrova to top yesterday's opening sessions.

Another of his progeny to sell yesterday was a €330,000 colt from Laurel Delight (by Presidium), which was sold to Demi O'Byrne.

The agent again took a liking to the Sadler's Wells' stallions progeny today, securing the colt from the Mujtahid mare Splendid for €500,000, making it the second highest priced lot of the day.

Also sold today was a Galileo filly from the Cadeaux Genereux mare Starchy for €400,000.

But it wasn't just Galileo's own progeny making waves.

O'Byrne also secured a close relation to the leading for €420,000.

The colt is by Montjeu from the unraced Diesis mare Altruiste, who is in turn a half-sister to the Arc winner Urban Sea – dam of Galileo.
