Kashtan will look to build on his strong last start win when lining up in the Benchmark 55 Handicap (1408m) at Taree today.

The Paul Messara-trained runner followed up three career placings with a dominant win over 1300m at Scone last time out and he looks well placed on the back of that effort despite carrying the 60kg.

Aaron Bullock who has placed his only previous ride goes back on board today and this looks a very nice progression for Kashtan who certainly appears to have plenty of ability.

Expect the three-year-old gelding to push forward and settle on the speed from barrier 5 and he should have no issues with the step up to 1408m for the first time.

Celtic Trail also comes off a last start win at Sale for the Robbie Griffiths stable and she steps out for new yard today.

Form for the most part in Victoria has been very solid of late and from the wide draw today she looks another that will push forward and settle on the speed.

Certainly needs a big of luck but she is proven over this trip and off a slight freshen up is certainly worth keeping safe.

No Concerns was disappointing over the mile at this course last start but she is likely to appreciate the drop back in trip today.

Over a year now since her last win but the two runs prior to her last start effort were very good and rate well in this company.

Likely to settle back in the field from the awkward barrier but has shown enough of late to suggest she will be hitting the line and could certainly test these.

Money Ad was only 2.7L away over 1255m at this course last start and drops back in class off that effort.

Tends to run well here at her home course and with a previous win over this trip rounds out the main chances.
