Yorkshire trainer R A Fahey is hunting for a first success at Keeneland this weekend with The Platinum Queen and Midnight Mile flying the flag.

But hopes of a first win at Kentucky have been hampered after both of his horses were drawn 12 at the post position on Monday night.

The five-furlong specialist The Platinum Queen runs in the Juvenile Turf Sprint on Friday. But the favourite was pushed out by some bookmakers to 7/2 after being draw widest of all in the extended five-furlong dash.

Fahey's other two-year-old runner, Midnight Mile, who won the Group Three Oh So Sharp Stakes at Newmarket last month, has also been drawn 12. But the promising filly at least has two other runners outside her in the Juvenile Fillies Turf on Friday.

Midnight Mile can be backed at around 10/1 after drifting with a number of the layers.

Fahey though played down the draws and told the Racing Post: "Twelve's my lucky number!

"We are where we are. If it keeps raining, it might not be too bad being wide."

Mischief Magic (five) and Dramatised (four) fared better in the Juvenile Turf Sprint.

Charlie Appleby's horse can be backed at around 8/1, while Karl Burke's two-year-old is a general 9/1 chance for the $1m purse race.

Appleby also saw Silver Knott drawn four in the Juvenile Turf, while Aidan O'Brien's Victoria Road was drawn one.

In the Classic, 1/3 favourite Flightline was drawn in stall four with Todd Pletcher's Life Is Good in two.

Flightline's trainer John Sadler told www.drf.com: "Good draw. We think at a mile and a quarter we have a good run to the turn and get your position for him. It's just fine."

Frankie Dettori will also have his work cut out as he chases a fifth successive win on Ralph Beckett's Kinross (13) in the Mile, while one of his other mounts Mishriff has been drawn 11 in the Breeders' Cup Turf.
