Eight have been declared for Saturday’s Group 1 Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket’s Rowley Mile.
The declarations are headed by John and Thady Gosden's Inspiral, who completed back-to-back victories in the mile Group 1 Prix Jacques Le Marois at Deauville last time. The four-year-old filly is a four-time Group 1 winner over a mile and currently tops the market in her bid to give Frankie Dettori his 500th winner at Newmarket.
Andre Fabre brings over Mqse De Sevigne from France, bidding to be the first French-trained winner since Esoterique for the same owner and trainer in 2015. The four-year-old has achieved two straight victories at Group 1 level this year in the ten-furlong Prix Jean Romanet and the mile Prix Rothschild.
The supplemented Heredia will be taking her first step into Group 1 company for the Richard Hannon team after winning the Group 3 Atalanta Stakes at Sandown Park whilst Aidan O'Brien's Meditate retains the blinkers following her fourth in the Group 1 Matron Stakes. Joseph O'Brien's Goldana will also travel over from Ireland and Coppice will join stablemate Inspiral from the John and Thady Gosden stable, despite connections indicating a trip to America would be next up following her success at the track last week.
Archie Watson's Roman Mist and the Ed Walker-trained Random Harvest complete the eight.
