And the rest of the weekend weather looks perfect for the big weekend in the Bois de Bologne.

Everything seems set for an excellent weekend of racing in the French capital. Tomorrow (Saturday) sees one Group 1 and four

Group 2 races in the 8 race program.

The first of the Group 2s is the Prix Chaudenay over 3000m and her Coastal Path looks the logical favourite having recently won

over this course and distance and in the process holding some of the other competitiors. In UK he's at 6/4 witn Noble Prince

second fav at 2/1 along with Royal and Regal which do not look like value. We prefer Irish stayer Mores Wells following his

recent third in the Irish St Leger, and a roughie called GAT at 16/1, as this one has our human initials and is out of a mare called

Gondwana. It also finished ahead of Noble Prince last time out.

The Prix de la Foret is often the showcase for future champions - last three winners have been Caradak, Court Masterpiece and

Somnus. Tariq gets ticks in most of the boxes but we actually are going to put Linngari in top spot - more value, has been set for

this and is a genuine class act. Marchand d'Or is a quirky horse and got the tables turned on him at Haydock by Red Clubs, but

we think the step up in distance could be a bit much for Red Clubs and think that the recent O'Brien acquisition US Ranger could

come in here. Dutch Evie, Red Evie and Jeremy all have claims but you cannot pick everything.

The Prix Royallieu for the girls is G2 over 2500m. With Kieren Fallon in the saddle Aiden O'Brien's All My Loving looks like a

worthy favourite at 11/2. We are not so impressed with Doe Ray Me and Synopsis or Darsha all at short prices with form on the

very wet at Deauville whereas the trackk should be close to good if not good tomorrow. Andre Fabre's Kaloura is better value at

4/1 and Pearl Sky 10/1 and Ionnina 16/1 could help the multiples.

The Wildenstein is over 1600m and Godolphin's Echo of Light showed he was back to his best in winning a G3 at York last month

and is quoted at 9/4. Holocene is a young and promising runner who was seen at his best when second to Manduro in the

Jacques le Marois. 3/1 is about right. And Spirito del Vento is a very live chance as he has a great turn of foot - a considerable

asset in French racing - shown at Chantilly in winning the Prix du Chemin de Fer du Nord. Kilometre Neuf is a brother to Jim and

Tonic but so far hasn't shown quite the same ability. Blythe Knight won the Diomed Stakes at Ascot although was disappointing

in the Celebration Mile.

Finally the Prix Dollar is over 1950m and Touch of Land has been set to try and win his third Prix Dollar having won in 2004 and

2005. He's quoted in UK at 5/1 but will be much shorter in France. The English firms have the supplemented Sageburg as 7/4

favourite but we think it is between Stage Gift, Musical Way and Tourch of Land.
