Okahu Bay wins 2015 W Hill Sa Fillies Classic Group 3 $115,000 at Morphettville (SA) 3yo Fillies, 2500m.

Outsider Okahu Bay was a surprise winner, going up significantly in class. She began well and soon went to the front. She was then able to slow the pace before picking up the tempo nearing the home turn. She then fought back grimly when challenged, holding on win by the barest of margins.

Favourite Bahamas travelled well in seventh place (with cover), switched deep rounding the home turn and ran on resolutely for second, being unsuited by the lack of pace.

Second favourite Ungrateful Ellen was trapped deep from her wide barrier (14) throughout. She moved up to third (three wide) in the middle stages and fought gamely to finish a close-up third after a difficult trip.

Keep The Klass was handy on the rails most of the way and held on well for (1.3 lengths) fourth.
