Trainer Peter Gelagotis kept his good run in Adelaide going when his charge The Willybe won the 2600 metre opening event.

Bringing up successive wins at Morphettville the Dom Tourneur ridden The Willybe led all the way.

After winning at Echuca Easy Beast made it successive wins when he took out the 1100 metre second race.

Being under the care of Richard Laming and having the services of 3kg claiming apprentice Liam Riordan Easy Beast will have his next start on Melbourne Cup Day over the same distance.

Showing plenty of promise at his 16 start career Captain Duffy brought up win number three when he took out the 1800 metre third race.

Prepared by Phillip Stokes and guided to victory by Melbourne apprentice Chris Caserta Captain Duffy came from a midfield position with a late run in the straight going to the line in impressive style.

Champion trainer Darren Weir continued his love affair with Adelaide racing when Savaheat took out the listed Hill Smith Stakes of 1800 metres.

Guided to victory by John Allen, Savaheat, who was having his third start after a spell, came from last on the home turn to win.

Lloyd Kennewell brought up his third win in four days when Invisible Girl took ou the 1050 metre fifth race.

Steered to victory by Joe Bowditch Invisible Girl settled well taking up a better than midfield position to go on and win.

Patrons were treated to a masterful ride by Jamie Kah when Hussy Bay took out the 1600 metre sixth race.

Prepared at Murray Bridge by Mick Huxtable, Hussy Bay came from a midfield position with a rails run in the straight to win.

Hoop Joe Bowditch landed his second success for the day when Lope De Capio took out the listed Durbridge stakes which was run over 1200 metres.

Prepared by Wayne Francis and Glen Kent, Lope De Capio came from a midfield position with a strong run in the straight to bring up successive wins.

John Allen scored his second winner for the day when he rode Manuel to victory in the final event which was contested over 1200 metres.

Bringing up successive wins, having won recently on the Geelong synthetic track, the Tony McEvoy prepared Manuel came from a midfield position with a withering run late in the event.
