The win by exciting Fastnet Rock filly Nechita at Warwick Farm on Saturday continued the incredible strike rate of Patinack Farm with horses purchased from Edinglassie Stud.
Bred by Jason Abrahams of Champion Thoroughbreds, Nechita was a $130,000 purchase from the Edinglassie Stud draft at the 2011 Magic Millions Yearling Sale.
Other Patinack purchases from Edinglassie include dual stakes winner and G1 placed Happy Hippy, stakes winner Wonderful Lass and G3 winner Real Stolle.
Another Edinglassie sold yearling Ninth Legion (Fastnet Rock x Xaar's Jewel) stamped himself as a potential top liner and exciting sire prospect when winning his second race from as many starts at Warwick Farm.
Raced by Segenhoe Thoroughbreds, Ninth Legion was a $110,000 purchase from the Edinglassie Stud draft at the 2011 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.
Bred by Davilora Lodge, Ninth Legion is the first foal of Xaar's Jewel, a winning half-sister to stakes-winner Kidlat and to the dam of GI NZ Two Thousand Guineas winner Tell a Tale.
