Epitomize made the Great Chase his own today at The Meadows after a dominate all the way win.

Trained by Team Greenough, Epitomize is now unbeaten in his five career starts.

"It's his second 500 and his run home time has improved a little bit and I think he will keep improving," Brad Greenough said.

Known for their meticulous placement of their greyhounds, Epitomize showed all signs of readiness to tackle the Great Chase series.

"He showed his strength from day one, ever since he started trailing he has shown the ability to finish a race."

"I think the decision to step him up to the big smoke will depend on how he pulls up today."

The Great Chase has been won by some of the sports greats including Explicit and Simon Told Helen.

Aurora Services – Social Links were the lucky community group to take home $2,500 as part of the Great Chase community event.
