Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

Picture: Korea Racing Authority

Fillies only in the opening maiden. (2) I'M THE BEST did nothing on debut but was promptly sent back to trial and emerged much better at start number two on May 4th, coming from off the pace to run 3rd over this distance in a good time. She draws well and she looks the best of these. (11) WONDERFUL PASS also has a 2nd place in her record, secured two starts back over 1300M. She has the challenge of the widest gate here but has proven capable of coming from off the pace and can be considered. (8) YEONGWON POTEN weakened over 1300M last time out but going on her previous start, when 3rd at this distance, she warrants consideration in this company. (4) MO CHUISLE and (6) MAGIC SOUND others in the frame for the minors.

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

This is wide open so at what should be each-way odds, we can take a chance on (1) OSONGEUI BYEOL. He showed a big uptick in form last time out when 2nd over this distance on April 13th when settling just behind the speed and running on and from a great draw and with CC climbing up, he can go one better today. (7) AMAZING ROCK has shown steady progress across three outings to date, culminating in a 3rd place over this distance eon May 18th when coming from off the pace. She is nicely weighted here and with some similar improvement, she can get even closer this time. (6) B.K. BELLE has four top-four finishes from seven attempts with her best being a 2nd at 1200M and she can be in the mix here. (4) DANGCHAN NANGNO and (2) CHEONJANGSA among plenty of other chances.

Selections (1) Osongeui Byeol (7) Amazing Rock (6) B.K. Belle (4) Dangchan Nangbo

Seoul Race 3: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

Small but competitive field. (4) GOLD SIDAE won on debut over 1200M on April 14th, racing on pace throughout. He comes up in class and slightly in trip, but he is down in the weights, he draws well, and he can make it two from two. (5) YONGAM SESANG got his maiden win at start number three over 1300M on May 4th at this distance. He too comes up in class here and while he doesn't get a weight drop, that was his first appearance since January so he could well strip fitter and is a big danger. (8) SPALTA got his first win two starts back before running an on-pace 2nd on his first try at this class on May 4th. He comes up in the weights but in this company should be close again and will be expected to be on the speed. (7) DANCING GANGJA and (6) THUNDER A ONE are other chances.

Selections (4) Gold Sidae (5) Yongam Sesang (8) Spalta (7) Dancing Gangja

Seoul Race 4: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

None of these enter off convincing last starts but the one it's easiest to draw a line through is that of (3) YONGBI POWER who had a poor day at the office over 1700M. She drops back to a distance at which she has finished 3rd and 4th in two attempts at and from a good gate and under a light weight, she has as much chance as any. (8) ECHO ZONE is the only one who emerged from his last start with much credit, having beaten a couple of these on his way to 4th place over this distance on May 5th. He won't need to improve much to get closer here. (6) GLOBAL JINGYEOK has been cold of late, but he has placed at class and distance and Kim Yong-geun climbing on makes for some appeal. (4) EUREKA and (1) HERO QUEEN are others in the mix.

Selections (3) Yongbi Power (8) Echo Zone (6) Global Jingyeok (4) Eureka

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

After taking a couple of goes to figure things out, (1) WONDERFUL SWEET has finished in the top four in each of his last five starts with his win coming over 1300M. He enters off a smart 3rd place at class and distance on May 5th and from a good draw, he can sit behind the speed and prove too strong. (3) GLOBAL CODIE was 4th on his first try at this class at 1200M on May 4th. He comes back up to the distance he won at and draws well to lead and be in this a long way. (5) CHEONGRYANGSAN enters off back-to-back runner-up finishes at this class over 1200M. He is up in the weights and while he is yet to win, he is also yet to finish outside the top four and both of those things have every chance of still being true at the end of this race. (6) GANA POWER, who beat Global Codie when 3rd last time out, is another to watch for along with up in class (8) EUNPA PARTNER.

Selections (1) Wonderful Sweet (3) Global Codie (5) Cheongryangsan (6) Gana Power

Seoul Race 6: Class 4 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(5) GEUMSE has two 2nd places and two 3rd places in four starts at this class since his maiden win, which came over this distance. He carries a fair weight, is well drawn, and with CC getting on his back, he can return to winning ways here. (6) VELOX BOY perhaps wasn't ready when debuting last October. He didn't race again but returned to trial two weeks ago and led every step of the way in fine style, stopping the clock in a quick time. If he brings that form to the races, he goes close first-up. (8) KING KALLE got his maiden win two starts back over 1300M before running 3rd over this distance on April 28th. He has mixed his form across ten starts so far and he carries his fair share of weight, but he can be running on strong here. (4) YESULIYA and (11) BYEOLNARA BIMA other placing chances.

Selections (5) Geumse (6) Velox Boy (8) King Kalle (4) Yesuliya

Seoul Race 7: Class 4 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(8) SPECIAL HILL is a winner of two of his latest three, most recently over 1700M on May 4th when racing handy throughout. He comes up in class here but carries a light weight and in this small field, has every chance of measuring up again. The main danger is (1) TOHO SKY. He enters off a 2nd and a 4th place from his latest two, both at this class over 1300M, both times running on well having settled back. He looks ready for another crack at a slightly further distance. (6) WONPYEONG QUEEN ran a solid 2nd at class and distance on May 5th having led for much of the way around. She remains under a light weight and should be the one they need to get past here. (5) DREAM PLAY and (7) VIKING HEART are the other place chances.

Selections (8) Special Hill (1) Toho Sky (6) Wonpyeong Queen (5) Dream Play

Seoul Race 8: Class 5 (1700M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(2) BAZOOKA BOY got his maiden win at start number four on April 27th over this distance and he did it in emphatic fashion, leading every step of the way and winning by as many as he pleased. He comes up in class here and while he doesn't get a weight drop, he draws well to lead again, and the manner of that victory suggests that there is plenty more to come. (5) EUMSEONG POWER had to work a little harder for his maiden win on May 5th over 1400M, but it had been coming. He closed from off the pace and while he is also up in class, the two turns can suit, and he can measure up. (7) JEONGSANG LUCKY is yet to win in seventeen, but she enters here off a good runner-up finish at this class and distance and still lightly weighted, she can be competitive again. (6) SEOUL DOLPUNG and (4) DONGHAENG FIRST others in the frame.

Selections (2) Bazooka Boy (5) Eumseong Power (7) Jeongsang Lucky (6) Seoul Dolpung

Seoul Race 9: Class 3 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(8) JEOMSUNI GO has only missed the top-four on one of ten starts and comes in having returned from six months out with a strong 2nd at this class over a mile on April 28th. She comes up 2kg in the weights, but she is a winner already over the 1800M, and she is faovured to win here. (2) HERO FIGHTER has three consecutive 3rd place finishes since getting promoted to this class, two over a mile and last time out beating a couple of these when he led over 1800M. He draws nicely to get a very soft run to the lead, and he should be in this a long way once more. (7) HIGH GRAND is another prolific placer, most recently beating three of these on his way to 2nd place at class and distance on April 28th. He comes up 2kg in the weights but should be there or thereabouts again. (10) MUNHAK TAPIT and (1) LUCKY POWER other placing chances.

Selections (8) Jeomsuni Go (2) Hero Fighter (7) High Grand (10) Munhak Tapit

Seoul Race 10: Class 3 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(11) ACHIM DONGJA was a beaten favourite at this class over a mile on April 28th when settling further back than usual and only manging to run on for 5th. He carries his fair share of weight here and draws the widest gate but the step back to 1200M should suit and he can win this. That will mean overturning the form on (7) GIANT PUNCH, who was 4th in that race at a mile on April 28th. With a win and a 3rd in two attempts at 1200M, he too should enjoy the step back in trip and he shapes as the main danger. (5) B.J. STORM was 2nd in a super-fast race over 1400M at this class on May 5th having raced on pace and while he comes up 3kg in the weights, he can be in the mix again. (3) YONGBI SEOUL and (2) HAENGBOKAN MUNMAK are among others who can enter the wider calculations.

Selections (11) Achim Dongja (7) Giant Punch (5) B.J. Storm (3) Yongbi Soul

Seoul Race 11: Class 2 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 90 Million

(7) SINHAN TEUKSONG has registered four of his five wins at this distance and comes in off a good 2nd, again at the distance, on March 24th. He comes up in class here and is off a ten-week layoff, but he is down in the weights, Johan knows him very well, and he can win. (1) TEUKGEUP DAERO was a smart class 3 winner over this distance in April before running 4th on his first try at this level at a mile on May 4th. She got a bit far back that day, but she has a super turn of foot on her, and she will be running on strong. (2) DAESARI had lost his way around two turns in recent outings but gets what could be a fresh start today back at a shorter trip. He looked well when blitzing a trial in a fast time on May 23rd and so long as he didn't leave his race there, he can be a good each-way chance under an apprentice claiming 3kg. (6) FALL IN LOVE and (3) MUNHAK BOSS are the others to consider.

Selections (7) Sinhan Teuksong (1) Teukgeup Daero (2) Daesari (6) Fall In Love
