Best bets for nine-race card at Morphettville on Saturday.
We dive headfirst into action on Saturday where Dolcemente in the opener is our best on the program.
The four-year-old capitalised here third-up after kicking off the campaign with two eye-catching finishes. Trained by John Hyam, the Shamus Award mare posted a career peak to notch up her second win when running to a Racing and Sports rating of 85.
Staying at the winning trip on the seven-day turnaround, Dolcemente finally gets the chance to take closer order, as it's the first time she's drawn a gate lower than eight (8) in what is going to be her eighth start.
While she concedes weight to her rivals, I don't think we've seen the best of her just yet and she can improve fourth-up. Expecting her to get the job done again.
Another one I'm keen on comes at the midpoint of the card (R5) with Pure Aqua from the sharp R & C Jolly camp.
The three-year-old was the fastest finisher on the card at Murray Bridge when resuming in the first leg of the Rebel Raider series three weeks ago.
Rattling home over the last 600m in 32.71secs to snatch third, the Headwater filly picked straight back up where she left off her promising debut prep, which most notably included Listed success in the Without Fear Stakes (1050m).
Drawn to settle rearward again, she will appreciate the added 100m and is sure to be climbing over their backs at the business end.
