Pure Bliss to provide just that for her followers on Saturday at Morphettville Parks.
Pure Bliss was a smart winner fresh at headquarters back in late October when scoring with a bit up her sleeve. Making light work of a solid Class 2 outfit, the daughter of Star Turn returned with a career peak when running to a rating of 90 on the Racing and Sports scale. Unfortunately, the four-year-old couldn't follow it up at Moonee Valley when well supported but did have excuses, the post-race vet exam revealing the mare to be lame and suffering muscle soreness.
Under the tutelage of sharp SA training partnership W Clarken & N O'Shea , I trust the duo have kept a firm finger on the pulse of their promising mare and off a three week break Pure Bliss will be back to her best. If she is, she will be making a return to the winner's circle.
Another one I'm keen to back is Kinetic Jewel from the Phillip Stokes yard in race eight (8).
The four-year-old Rubick mare hasn't been able to strike through yet this campaign but has been threatening. She strips rock-hard fit now fifth run in and will hopefully take benefit from an attractive gear change with blinkers going on first time. She gets in well for this down in the weights with talented 3kg claimer Taylor Johnstone engaged and is drawn much kinder than her two main dangers in Super Alana & Star Sirius. Think the blinkers prove the winning move.
