Cowra racecourse is a a tight egg-shaped speed track that suits horses able to hold a forward position. The circumference of the Cowra racecourse is only 1500 metres with a straightr run of over 600 metres from the 1200m startin chute to the home turn. A tight home turn enters a 300m home straight.
