With two Group 1s and the rest of the day holding at least Listed status, the nine-race card at Eagle Farm this Saturday looks an enticing punting opportunity.

Our best bet comes up in the Group 2 Dane Ripper Stakes, while we try and get an early start with our each-way bet in the opener.

We break down the day with our race-by-race preview brought to you by tab.com.au

Race 1 - Seven Wayne Wilson (1600m) @ 11.43am

Poison Chalice (7) placed over this track and trip at the latest effort when forced to go back from the wide draw and should be able to settle much closer from gate five. Strips fitter now third-up from the spell and will be near his peak for this. Looks a handy each-way commodity. Freedom Rally (1) just missed the placings in the Group 1 Kingsford Smith last time out and will find this assignment much more to his liking. Has won five from seven around this circuit and gets J Mac on from the inside alley. Ticks plenty of boxes. Iknowastar (5) saves his best form for this mile journey with six wins and a placing from just eight attempts. Has to be included. The well-related Coastwatch (4) (half to G1 winner Mighty Boss) is racing consistently this time in and may earn some minor money. Charterhouse (3) is a four-time winner over this trip and must be respected from the Maher barn.

Tip: Siding with Poison Chalice each-way @ $7.50 with TAB

Race 2 - Maker's Mark Hinkler Handicap (1200m) @ 12.18pm

The well-related Pereille (5) (full to G2 winner Corniche) couldn't have been more impressive saluting at the Sunny Coast when resuming and will have come on with that run now under the belt. Is yet to miss a drum in 13 attempts at this six furlong journey and J Mac sticks in the irons. Should be right there at the business end again. Willinga Beast (13) doesn't win out of turn but has been competitive at a high level and will be rock-hard fit for this. Should be hitting the line with gusto. Miss Hellfire (8) has been thereabouts in recent efforts and is sure to get a gun run in transit from gate two. Top-three conveyance. Nashira (14) is one from one over this track and trip and looks one for the exotics players. Midnight In Tokyo (10) doesn't know how to run a bad race and can trouble the judge with any luck from the wide draw.

Tip: Backing Pereille @ $2.10 with TAB

Race 3 - SEN Oxlade Stakes (1300m) @ 12.53pm

Although still a maiden Embassy (1) has been right there in all four starts to date and strikes a very winnable contest here. Looked good placing here first-up before another solid effort at Doomben last time out. Strips fitter third-up from the break and the step-up to the 1300m looks ideal. Rates the testing material. Don't Forget Jack (8) hasn't done much wrong winning both outings so far and has earned his shot at Listed level now. Hard to knock winning form. Tehina (13) broke through for a dominant Canterbury victory at her second start and will have derived a stack of confidence from that win. Can go right on with the job now. Megastar Heart (6) didn't measure up at Group 2 level last start but will appreciate the drop in grade here. In the mix. Heinous (11) rounds out the selections.

Tip: Embassy to win @ $3.80 with TAB

Race 4 - XXXX Brisbane Cup (3200m) - 1.28pm

The $400,000 Group 2 Brisbane Cup. Mostly Cloudy (7) only narrowly went down in the Listed Ramsden last time out and steps back up to the two mile staying test now. Gets the services of an in-form Shinn in the saddle and should be able to travel in a handy position from gate four. Will give this a mighty shake. Amade (2) loves this trip with four wins and two placings from nine attempts and will be high on confidence following that Sandown Cup win two weeks back. Stackhouse stays on board and looms as the main danger. Alegron (5) has gotten better with each run this time in as he steps up in trip. Top-three candidate on best form. Goldman (4) has been very consistent this campaign and cannot be discounted. Selino (3) next best in a race with only a handful of chances.

Tip: Boxed Trifecta 7,2,5,4 with TAB

Race 5 - Sky Racing Gunsynd Classic (1600m) - 2.03pm

The $200,000 Group 3 Gunsynd Classic. Razors (3) placed over this course and distance in the Group 2 Guineas two back before dropping back in trip and not being too far off them last time out. Has revved up for this with a recent Hawkesbury trial and should get a cosy run in transit for J Mac from gate three. Can bounce right back to form here. Kiwi Geriatrix (9) looked good winning here at his local debut and the extra furlong should suit. Rates a serious threat. The well-related Invincible Spy (6) (full to G2 winner Strasbourg) has a handy strikerate winning four from six overall including going two from two over the mile. Must be respected. Port Lockroy (8) also hails from a handy family (full to G3 winner Alpine Edge) and has been thereabouts in elite company. Looks one for the multiples. Miss Aria (13) is in a rich vein of form this preparation and may earn some minor money.

Tip: Going with Razors @ $4.80 with TAB

Race 6 - J.J Atkins (1600m) @ 2.38pm

The $1 million Group 1 JJ Atkins. Looks a race for the in-form Broadsiding (1). Is two from two over this mile journey in elite company and looks the class runner of the field. Made up a stack of ground here last time out and gets McDonald back on from the favourable draw. Should be right there at the business end. Zouna (2) wasn't too far off him at the latest effort and the extra furlong should suit. Expected to go close. Imperialist (6) is improving with racing and will be high on confidence following that last start victory. Cannot be discounted. The well-related Bittercreek (3) gets Shinn back on and looks one for the exotics players. Mr Artemisia (10) next best from the Waller barn.

Tip: Broadsiding straight out @ $1.70 with TAB

Race 7 - Magic Millions Dane Ripper Stakes (1300m) @ 3.17pm

The $300,000 Group 2 Dane Ripper Stakes. Chinny Boom (9) bounced right back to form here last time out and grows a leg for Stanley who has four wins and two placings from just seven steers. Should be up in the first handful in the run and can go right on with the job now. Coeur Volante (6) wasn't too far away when resuming and will have come on with that run now under the belt. Is yet to put in a poor one and should be right in the finish. C'Est Magique (12) resumes here but has a handy first-up record and must be respected from the Waller stable. Top-three consideration while fresh. Roots (1) is looking to bounce back from a poor SA effort but has plenty of class and cannot be ignored. Worth another chance. Coco Jamboo (4) doesn't know how to run a bad race and is a must for the multiples.

Tip: Chinny Boom to win @ $4.80 with TAB

Race 8 - The Star Stradbroke Handicap (1400m) - 3.57pm

A cracking edition of the $3 million Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap. Vilana (6) hails from a handy family (half to 5xG2 winner Savatiano) and put the writing on the wall with a dominant victory here in the Group 2 last time out. Will only need a bit of luck from the wide draw to be prominent once again. Antino (3) loves this track and trip with two wins and a placing from three attempts and will strip fitter third-up from the spell. Can play a role in the outcome. Bella Nipotina (1) is racing very consistently but the 1400m is the only question. Keep in mind. MAGIC TIME (2) is a bit hit or miss but has plenty of class and can feature on her day. Top-three credentials on best form. Amenable (10) has only missed a drum once in seven tries at the distance and can trouble the judge.

Tip: Backing Vilana @ $5 with TAB

Race 9 - HKJC World Pool Q22 (2200m) @ 4.30pm

The $1.2 million Group 2 Q22. Fawkner Park (15) made up plenty of ground in the Doomben Cup and only narrowly went down in a stirring go. Drawn to get a suck run from gate three and should be at his peak for this. Goes well for Schiller who has two wins and a placing from three rides and will be right there at the finish. Kovalica (5) has been a bit of a money muncher but you can't deny his class and it may be his day. Worth one more chance. Import Adelaide River (6) will be much improved following his first-up run and the step up in trip suits. Look for a better showing. Bois D'Argent (4) got the elusive Group 1 last time out and Shinn sticks. In the mix. Hezashocka (13) is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley and rates among the winning hopes.

Tip: Fawkner Park @ $4.20 with TAB
