Greater Good (Race 1) has tightened her grip on favouritism at $2.15, more than half a point shorter than her opening quote. The filly ran on well to get within a half length when resuming and can improve second up.

Catesby (Race 2) has been heavily backed and is now into the red at $1.90, the best part of two points shorter than his initial price. He has been placed at his past two starts and the punters are confident this is his chance to win.

Sikhing Glory (Race 3) has closed the gap on the favourites having firmed a point-and-a-half to $4. He resumes off good form last campaign including a first up win.

Coulthard (Race 6) is a firming favourite at $3.60, almost a half point shorter than his first price. He didn’t have the best of luck when resuming and won his only previous second up attempt.

Pelethronius (Race 7) is the one punters want in the Rowley Mile, firming almost two points to $4.20. He made ground in the Coffs Harbour Cup last start and had won four in a row before that, three of them in town.

The in-form Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained Arbeitsam made it three wins in succession in taking out this Listed race, his first stakes success in 13 starts to date. He was quickly away from his outside barrier (10) and immediately went to the front. He then travelled well at quite a good tempo, raced clear on turning for home, and then went on to score comfortably. Kingsguard was fourth early on (trapped deep) before improving to race outside the leader (Arbeitsam) at the 800m. He was under riding on straightening and kept battling on well to take second. Reiby The Red was handily placed in third spot, moved up (wide) at the home turn and then fought on nicely to take the minor placing.
