Consistent Chris Waller-trained four-year-old Cellarman is now the winner of four of his last five starts and he staged another good effort in taking out his first Group win and his second stakes success here - his eighth win in 25 starts. He settled in sixth place, one off the rails, got a split at the 200m, hit the front at the 100m and then went on to win well. Ecuador raced outside the leader (Radipole) at a reasonable tempo, got the better of that runner on passing the 200m and then fought well for second in a promising first up effort. Mister Sea Wolf raced in seventh place, one off the rails, went deep rounding the home turn and ran on nicely in the sprint home for third in another sound effort (his fourth start) since coming from Ireland. The favourite Radipole went to the front, was able to set a steady enough pace and then battled on for (1.4 lengths) fourth after seeming to have had every chance.
