Daniel and Ben Pearce-trained filly Agent Pippa secured her first stakes victory with a good win here. She began quickly, went to the front and ran along a quite a good tempo. She held a good break coming to the home turn, then held on to score a smart win taking her record to two wins from three starts. Assetro settled back in seventh place, improved (deep) rounding the home turn and ran on well to take second without really looking likely to trouble the winner. Bam's On Fire put up a really smart effort after badly missing the start. She was a clear last on settling, got along the inner to be a distant ninth nearing the 600m and impressed with her late-closing third, her third placing from three starts to date.
