A game third here in the Karrakatta Plate (Gr 2, 1200m) two weeks ago, Lordhelpmerun put up another game effort, this time a winning one to take his record to two wins (maiden stakes) from four starts. He settled a handy fourth (one out) past the 1000m and had the run of the race to the 400m before moving out and challenging three wide into the straight. Under jockey Shaun McGruddy he formed a line of three upon straightening and took over by a half length at the 200m. They still had the half-length to spare at the 100m but then had to withstand a late challenge, holding on gamely at the line. Lady Cosmology tracked the winner into the straight, was not making any impression then with a second wind lunged late, just failing by a neck from Platoon who did not get clear until the 200m then surged through but could not catch the first two. Favourite Valour Road co-led at the top of the straight, was headed at the 200m then battled on best of the rest for fourth.
