The unbeaten Ciaron Maher and David Eustace-trained youngster was a significant firmer in betting after the draw, coming in from $7 to $5.50.

Dubious has joined the Godolphin filly Exhilarates at the top of betting with long time favourite Unite And Conquer easing from $5 to $6.

Dubious had been an $8 favourite for the MM Classic after his debut win in the Breeders Plate at Randwick in September.

He resumed with a stylish win at Eagle Farm on December 22 but Exhilarates took over at the head of the betting after she won easily at the Gold Coast last Saturday.

“Punters were clearly in the corner of Team Godolphin with Exhilarates after the draw, however Dubious has been a notable firmer as well,” said TAB spokesman Glenn Munsie.

“Dubious and Exhilarates are the two most popular runners in the past 24 hours with the former attracting some good money.

“Outside of them every other runner has pretty much drifted.”

In the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas Outback Barbie is a pronounced favourite at $2.60 and is clearly the most popular runner in terms of early money taken.

Boomsara ($4.80) is the only other runner in single figures with Star Fall and Bondi heading the rest at $10.
