Godolphin-raced colt Bivouac has not finished further back than fourth in five starts, now winning twice after taking out this Group 2 race in good style. After a quick beginning from his good barrier (3), he settled nicely for Blake Shinn in fifth place (with cover) before moving up well on straightening. He dashed to the front at the 200m and then went on to score quite impressively. Anthony Cummings-trained filly Libertini settled back in ninth place, on the rails, eased into clear running on turning for home and caught the eye with her late-closing second in a really smart effort here on debut. The winner's more favoured stablemate Athiri settled in sixth place on the rails, was blocked nearing the home turn, got a split and went to second on passing the 200m and then battled on to take third after seeming to have had every chance over the latter stages.
