WARWICK FARM September 30

Inside Grass; Heavy 8

17 Heats (3 x 1207m (2 Open; 1 Maiden); 4 x 821m (2 2YO; 2 Open); 3 x 818m (3 Open); 4 x 815m (1 Open; 3 Maiden); 3 x 811m (3 Maiden)

Polytrack – 1 x 740m (Open)

A heavy track catered for a big session that included a couple of worthy carnival contenders.

IKNOWASTAR (Bjorn Baker): Well known as a front runner, he sped to a huge win in the fastest 1207m heat (72.37; 35.24), leading on the turn by 15 lengths and coasting home by 12 lengths in a sterling hitout that will have him ready to perform in a suitable event over the carnival.

Other carnival prospects to show good form in their prep trials included BALLROOM BELLA, ENCAP, TERRITORY EXPRESS, OLENTIA, SNACK BAR and TARPAULIN.

In the maiden heats the efforts of ENGINE ROOM, FIORENZA, CIRCLE OF LOVE and the unraced ROTAGILLA were good indicators.
