RANDWICK November 26

Randwick A Grass; Good 4

15 Heats – 1 x 1200m (Open); 5 x 1045m (2 Open; 3 Maiden); 9 x 740m (2 Open; 4 2YO; 2 3YO; 1 Maiden)

Polytrack – 1 x 1080m (Open)

Suspect a number of these runners have aspirations of landing at the Gold Coast in January for the Magic Millions.

AUGUST BLOOM (Peter Snowden): This 4YO mare has won only one from seven starts but her two recent trials have her set to quickly improve on that record. Followed up her strong resuming trial at Rosehill with an impressive win in her open heat over 1045m (62.76; 34.50), working home under a hold for a dominant win by 1.5 lengths.

MANUSCRIPT (Waterhouse/Bott): Another glowing trial win by this sharp runner who is set to progress quickly from his recent maiden win at Wyong. Did it easily to win the fastest 740m heat (43.54; 32.82) with plenty in reserve and will be well placed in any suitable 3YO event over a short course.

ZOURIPPER (John Thompson): Won a strong open heat over 740m (44.43; 33.91), working home under a good hold to beat the promising YORKSHIRE in a close finish. He was a good maiden winner in July and holds plenty of scope to improve off this trial. The heat should prove a strong form reference with KAZOU another whose work took the eye.

The Waterhouse/Bott team won three of the four 2YO heats over 740m with TEMPESTUOUS an impressive winner of the fastest of the four trials (44.30; 33.71), confirming the ability he displayed at the start of the season when second in the Breeders Plate.

Their other 2YO winners were ALBANY ROAD (44.90; 33.87) and SATIN'S LEGACY (45.25; 34.38). PALLATON trialled well behind ALBANY ROAD while the Godolphin pair PARFUMIER and DAPHNES took the eye in the other heat.

Godolphin also won the fourth 2YO heat with CHARKA (44.68; 34.08) where stablemate TEMPTED's late work was impressive.

18 Heats – 2 x 1200m (2 Open); 7 x 1000m (2 Open; 5 Maiden); 9 x 845m (4 Open; 2 2YO; 3 Maiden)

Talented local trainer Sara Ryan would have enjoyed this session with four heat winners and good placings by other stable reps all carrying the yellow and red Domeland colours.

She won the fastest 845m heat with racy 2YO filly SAPLING (49.43; 33.44) and THE PACIFIC looked good posting an easy win in a fast maiden heat (49.59; 33.94).

Ryan also won open 845m heats with smart pair SO GOOD SO COOL (50.02; 33.43) and SPICY HOTPOT (51.06; 34.35) while the evergreen MUCH MUCH BETTER and ALWAYS SURE were other team members to trial well.
