Borlotti scores at Grafton becoming his sires eighth winner.
Borlotti (2 c ex Kas Nediym by Nediym) became the eighth winner for the late Aquis Farm-based sire Spill The Beans (Snitzel) when he won on debut at Grafton on Monday.
Having his first start, Borlotti scored by a length and a half from Hashtag Viking (Arlington) with Point Of Attack (Bull Point) another half-length back in third in the Holco Maiden Handicap (1106m).
Bought by Aquis Farm for $42,500 from Warrandale Stud at the 2018 Magic Millions Gold Coast National Weanling Sale, Borlotti becomes the sixth winner from seven foals to race out of the Listed placed Nediym (Shareef Dancer) mare Kas Nediym. His second dam is the dual winner Kerdisi (Top Of The Pack) who is a half-sister to the Group 3 winner Alacqua (Rancho Ruler). Further back this is the family of the Group 1 winner Gatting (Hard Spun).
Kas Nediym was retired from breeding in 2018 having produced a filly by Spill The Beans.
The late Spill The Beans sits at the head of the leading first season sires table in Australia by winners, now two clear of Pride Of Dubai (Street Cry). The stallions other winners are Tumbler Ridge, Cosmic Gossip, Tennessee Boy, Java Sparrow, Courtesy Bus and Bangers And Mayo.
