Black Caviar’s filly by I Am Invincible headlines the 1614 nominations.
Black Caviar's (Bel Esprit) daughter by I Am Invincible (Invincible Spirit) headlines the 1614 nominations for next year's $1.5 million Neds Blue Diamond Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m).
The unnamed filly was nominated for the race by owner Neil Werrett, joining the progeny of Miss Finland (Redoute's Choice) and Miracles Of Life (Not A Single Doubt) in the nominations.
The Miss Finland colt by Shalaa (Invincible Spirit) is trained by Tom Dabernig and Ben Hayes, while Miracles Of Life's filly by American Pharoah (Pioneerof The Nile) will be trained by Snowden Racing.
Mega stable Ciaron Maher and David Eustace, who lined up an astonishing six runners in this year's Blue Diamond, have 108 nominations for the 2021 edition.
The Lindsay Park team is again well represented (80), as are Michael, Wayne and John Hawkes (77).
Headlining Team Hawkes' crop is a Zoustar (Northern Meteor) colt named Dio, who is a full brother to recently retired super mare Sunlight.
"We are delighted to have once again received such a large number of nominations from right across Australia and New Zealand for Victoria's premier juvenile race, the Neds Blue Diamond Stakes," said MRC CEO Josh Blanksby.
"It goes without saying that it is a tough time for the racing and breeding industries, as it is for society as a whole, yet if our industry has proved anything over the past five months, it's that it is disciplined, no doubt, and incredibly resilient.
"We thank all our trainers, owners and breeders for their support, as they continue their great work and we sincerely hope to be seeing them and our fans trackside at Caulfield next February."
First acceptances for the 2021 Neds Blue Diamond Stakes, which cost $330, close at 12pm on Tuesday, November 17.
