Full brother to Starspangledbanner joins roster.
Barood (Choisir) - a brother to Rosemont Stud shuttler Starspangledbanner - will stand at Glen Eden Stud in 2020.
A winner of seven of his 45 starts which saw him accumulate $312,035 in career prize-money, Barood was also placed on 15 occasions including at Listed level.
"He is big, strong and powerful with a gentle temperament and one staff member has joked that he is so gorgeous that she'd swap her husband for him," said Glen Eden's Sonia O'Gorman.
Purchased by Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum for $450,000 at the 2014 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale, the colt is out of Listed-placed Gold Anthem (Made Of Gold) - the dam of the aforementioned champion sprinter Starspangledbanner, while she also produced the dam of Thousand Guineas (Gr 1, 1600m) Amicus (Fastnet Rock) and Listed winner Cheer Leader (Snitzel).
