Group 1 winning son of Fastnet Rock will stand for $13,200
Merchant Navy, a Group 1 winning son of Fastnet Rock (Danehill), will move from Coolmore Australia to Kooringal Stud this spring.
"We are extremely fortunate to have secured a stallion of Merchant Navy's calibre," Kooringal Stud's Angus Lamont said.
"He highlighted how classy he was in winning the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Classic at Flemington and then he went overseas to beat the best they had there."
Merchant Navy covered 247 mares during his first season at stud in 2018, but served only 15 last year at a fee of $27,500 (inc GST). He will stand for $13,200 (inc GST) this spring.
