Shamus Award tops Rosemont roster at $60,500

Four stallions to stand at Victorian farm this spring

Shamus Award (Snitzel) will be the most expensive of four stallions to stand at Rosemont Stud this spring, with his fee set at $60,500 (inc GST). The sire of five Group 1 winners to date, Shamus Award covered 137 mares last spring when his fee was $88,000 (inc GST) having stood the 2021 season at $33,000 (inc GST). 

Extreme Warrior (Extreme Choice) will also stand for a reduced fee of $19,800 (inc GST) during his second season at stud. He covered 113 mares last year at a fee of $24,750 (inc GST). 

The fee for Hanseatic (Street Boss), whose first crop are weanlings, remains at $17,600 (inc GST). He covered 195 mares in 2021 and a book of 175 mares last year. 

The roster is completed by Strasbourg (I Am Invincible), who will stand for $8,800 (inc GST), down from $11,000 (inc GST) in 2022. HIs first crop are yearlings.
