The Autumn Sun colt one of three unraced among entries for Cox Plate.
Lindsay Park Racing issued a hint to the opinion it has of Entrusting on the eve of the three-year-old colt's debut at Sandown on Wednesday.
Despite having not yet raced, the son of The Autumn Sun was among the 173 entries for Australia's weight-for-age championship, the $5 million Group 1 Cox Plate (2040m), when they were revealed on Tuesday.
Entrusting is out of the Sebring mare Believe Yourself, a five-time winner whose biggest success came in the Group 2 Sweet Embrace Stakes (1200m), while she also finished fourth in the 2014 Golden Slipper won by Mossfun.
Entrusting was passed in at last year's Inglis Easter Yearling Sale after failing to reach her $250,000 reserve and will carry the colours of Arrowfield Stud, which not only stands The Autumn Sun but also offered Entrusting for sale.
Ben, Will and JD Hayes gave Entrusting two jumpouts in March before putting him away and his preparations this campaign have included three jumpouts, the latest an on-pace second placing over 800m on the Flemington synthetic track.
Entrusting is a $9.50 chance in the Tobin Brothers Celebrating Lives 3YO Maiden Plate (1300m) at Sandown, having drawn barrier six with Mark Zahra to ride.
Entrusting is one of two horses yet to appear at the races among Lindsay Park's eight Cox Plate entries, accompanied by Hot Majesty.
A colt by Too Darn Hot out of Majesty, Hot Majesty cost $500,000 as a yearling and counts Andrew Lloyd-Webber among the ownership group.
He has not appeared at the public trials or jumpouts this time in and does not hold a nomination for any races in the next week.
The only other unraced galloper among the nominations for the Cox Plate is Sav On Ice, a three-year-old colt by Puissance De Lune.
Trained by Darryl Carrison in Adelaide, Sav On Ice has had four trials, the last two of which he has won.
