New Zealand Bloodstock's 2023 Karaka Million Twilight Meeting will set Pukekohe Park alight tomorrow, where our sales graduates will take to the track to compete for a share in two $1 million features.
This Saturday 21 January, New Zealand's most lucrative sporting event will see the running of the:
- $1m DoubleTree by Hilton Karaka Million 2YO (1200m)
- $1m Karaka Million 3YO Classic (1600m)
- $120,000 Collinson Forex Karaka Cup (2200m) +
- Three other quality Group races.
The twilight meeting is only ten months after yearlings made their sale ring debut, with them now eligible to compete in the million dollar two-year-old feature. The 2023 running is shaping up to be an exciting event, with barriers drawn and fields finalised.
Another twelve months later and Karaka graduates get their second chance at $1 million in the Karaka Million 3YO Classic (1600m). The 2023 3YO field will see an epic clash of New Zealand's racing titans competing in what is considered to be one of the strongest fields drawn since the race's inauguration.
