Belardo will not return to the New Zealand farm in 2023
Ribchester (Iffraaj) will return to Haunui Farm for the forth time this season, but the New Zealand farm will not see Belardo (Lope De Vega) return.
"Ribchester had big shoes to fill in taking Iffraaj's place here at Haunui Farm but we couldn't be happier to have him stand with us in 2023," Managing Director Mark Chitty said. "The performance of his Australian-born progeny to date is very encouraging and his first crop of New Zealand-conceived yearlings were well received at Karaka 2023.
"The next 12 months will be an exciting time for Ribchester here in the Southern Hemisphere."
His first two Australian crops include stakes winning three-year-old Red Card as well as Group 3 winning juvenile Krakarib.
Ribchester will stand for a fee of NZ$12,000 (plus GST) this year.
