Avenue of Pleasure (I Am Invincible) topped the Inglis Digital October (Early) Online Sale at $205,000, after she was purchased by successful Victorian owner Gary Lechte.

Offered by Lindsay Park Racing - who were responsible for four of the top five lots - and catalogued as Lot 107, the three-year-old filly is out of winning Fastnet Rock (Danehill) mare Fitna, who is herself a daughter of Champagne Stakes (Gr 1, 1600m) winner Carry On Cutie (More Than Ready) and she is the grandam of fellow Champagne Stakes winner The Mission (Choisir).  Avenue Of Pleasure has raced four times to date including when third in the Gold Sovereign Stakes (Listed, 1200m) in February.

Lechte purchased three of the top five lots, buying out fellow owners in four-year-old gelding Exeter (Fastnet Rock) for $110,000, while he paid $100,000 for three-year-old colt Pulitzer Prize (Fastnet Rock) and they were all offered by Lindsay Park Racing.

Catalogued as Lot 64, Exeter is the winner of three starts and he is out of How Now Stakes (Gr 3, 1200m) winner Vivacious Spirit (Bel Esprit), making him a half-brother to New Zealand 1,000 Guineas Costa Viva (Encosta De Lago).

Vivacious Spirit herself is a three-quarter sister to Listed winner Audacious Spirit.

Meanwhile, Pulitzer Prize was catalogued as Lot 24, and he is out of three time-winning Zabeel (Sir Tristram) mare Rezoned, who is herself a sister to multiple Group 1 winner and now Bright Hill Farm-based sire Preferment. He has raced four times to date for two placings.

Lindsay Park also offered Surooj (Sebring) and she was purchased by Schmetzer Racing for $140,000, finishing the day as the second top lot.

Catalogued as Lot 93, the mare has won once and she is out of Group 2 winner Shaaheq (Redoute's Choice), who finished second in the Blue Diamond Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m).

Shaaheq herself is out of Damaschino (Last Tycoon) and she is a half-sister to Group 1 winner Bawalaksana (Straight Strike).

"They're all great results for our owners," Lindsay Park Racing's Dom Rhoden said.

"Surooj, for example, was owned by Shadwell and has form at Group 2 level as a two-year-old and she's now sold for $140,000 to Scone trainer Mark Schmetzer and I'm sure will be very competitive for her new connections.

"We offered nine horses in this October catalogue – and collectively they've sold for almost $650,000 – it's just unreal how strong this online market is.

"Lindsay Park have been using Inglis Digital since 2018 and we generally have something in every catalogue.

"The bidding is always very spirited, the service is great, it's transparent for our owners and for those buying and as many have said before, it's an easy way to sell without transporting a horse off the property," Rhoden said.

Five lots made $100,000 or more and the third most expensive lot of the sale was Spiritual Pursuit - a three time-winning Snitzel (Redoute's Choice) mare who was offered by Jason Coyle Racing and snapped up by Hall of Fame Bloodstock for $115,000.

Catalogued as Lot 158, the mare is a daughter of dual stakes-winning Shamardal (Giant's Causeway) mare Happy Hippy.

The mare's third dam is Lady Violet (Old Crony) - the dam of Group 1 winner Notoire (Export Price) and Listed-winning duo Well Known (The Pug) and Tempest Tost (Statue Of Libery), who in turn produced Group 3 winner Mildred (Hinchinbrook).

"The sale results are very pleasing and as recent racetrack results have demonstrated, the platform continues to provide exceptional value to buyers," said Inglis Digital business manager Nick Melmeth.

"For example, the dam of today's Ladies Day Vase winner Sovereign Award, was purchased for just $1,750 in the 2019 January Online Sale, so someone has had another fantastic update.

"Makybe purchased the dam of Warwick Farm winner Ellsberg for $8,500 in the 2020 June (Early) Sale and last Saturday's Debutant Stakes winner Fake Love (I Am Invincible), had a yearling three-quarter-brother by Hellbent sell in the 2020 August (Early) Sale to Ashbrook Thoroughbreds for $40,000.

"The turnover through the platform, which now exceeds $40 million for the year so far, is driven by the quality of the stock on offer and we are proud that each and every catalogue features stock that appeals to a broad cross section of people."

The October (Early) Sale concluded with a gross of more than $2.34 million, at a clearance rate of 84 per cent, while the average finished at $16,100.
