JF Rural Trust goes to $35,000 to secure daughter of Statue Of Liberty
Winning mare Tori’s Gift (Statue Of Liberty) topped the Magic Millions Online sale after she was purchased by JF Rural Trust for $35,000 on Wednesday.
Catalogued as Lot 68, the mare was offered as part of the Cornerstone Stud annual unreserved reduction sale in foal to Arrowfield Stud-based stallion Castelvecchio (Dundeel).
Tori’s Gift herself is out of Listed winner Gift Bouquet (King’s High), making her a half-sister to Group 3-winning pair The Inevitable (Dundeel) and Blahnik (Jeune), while she is a sister to Listed winner Elysees (Statue Of Liberty).
Meanwhile, the highest priced weanling of the online sale was a colt by Grunt (O'Reilly) and he was purchased by the Starventure Bloodstock Syndicate for $21,000.
Like Tori’s Gift, the colt was offered by Cornerstone Stud and he was catalogued as Lot 49.
The colt hails from the same family as dual South African Grade 1 winner Happy Archer (Dubawi) and Listed winner Femina Fashion (Shamardal).
