338 lots assembled for the two day sale in February

Magic Millions announced on Tuesday that 338 yearlings have been catalogued for the 2022 Perth Yearling Sale which will be held on Monday, February 14 and Tuesday, February 15 at Swan Valley. 

A total of 84 individual stallions are represented including 13 first season sires. The Darling View Thoroughbred-based sire Playing God (Blackfriars) is well represented with 27 yearlings set to sell, while Scenic Lodge's Universal Ruler (Scenic) has 18 yearlings catalogued and War Chant (Danzig) has 17. 

The catalogue features three yearlings by both Newgate-based stallions Capitalist (Written Tycoon), Deep Field (Northern Meteor) and Russian Revolution (Snitzel) while Smart Missile (Northern Meteor) and Tornado (High Chaparral) both have four lots.

In a great boost for local buyers 93% of yearlings catalogued are eligible for either the Westspeed Platinum or standard Westspeed scheme. Some 76 lots are BOBS eligible and all lots offered are eligible to be paid up for the $12.895 million Magic Millions Race Series.

The sale will be preceded by the Magic Millions Raceday at Pinjarra on February 5 – featuring the $250,000 Magic Millions WA 2YO Classic (RL, 1200m) and $200,000 Magic Millions WA 3YO Trophy (RL, 1200m). The 2YO Classic is boosted with the $75,000 Magic Millions WA Racing Women's Bonus.
