100 lots due to sell at Riverside Stables on 4 May
The Inglis Chairman's Sale catalogue is now available to view online with 100 lots set to sell at Riverside Stables on 4 May.
Described by the sales company as 'the best yet', this year's catalogue includes
- 72 lots that are either stakes horses or stakes producers
- 43 mares pregnant on their first or second cover
- 89 lots that are 10-years-old or younger
- 32 fillies / mares that are completely free of Danehill (Danzig)
- High class fillies or mares off the track including Montefilia, Icebath, Nimalee, Graceful Girl, Swats That, Electric Girl, etc.
- Mares in foal to the best sires both domestically and internationally.
A breeding right to Swettenham Stud's shuttler Toronado (High Chaparral) will open the sale as lot one.
Inglis Bloodstock CEO Sebastian Hutch was blown away by the support shown to the sale by breeders and owners.
"We have been fortunate to have been supported with some fantastic stock at this sale over the years but this is absolutely the best group that we have put together for the Chairman's Sale to date," Hutch said.
"We have worked particularly hard as a team to give the market confidence in this sale and I think this catalogue is a reflection of that.
"It is a boutique sale, but we are thrilled with the variety of what will be on offer and I think anyone that is in the market for quality breeding stock has cause to be fully engaged with the sale.
"The dams of the likes of Home Affairs, Loving Gaby, Stay Inside, Shout The Bar, Nettoyer etc were bought at the sale prior to G1 success, while a horse like last weekend's Golden Slipper winner Shinzo was purchased in utero at the sale too.
"I think everyone who has attended a Chairman's Sale will agree that it's just a really fun night, one of the highlights of the Southern Hemisphere sales calendar so between the social side of it and the extraordinary strength to the catalogue, Thursday May 4 is a night any serious buyer does not want to miss.
"We will be accepting a small number of supplementary entries for the sale, so if you want to be involved in the sale as a seller, I encourage you to get in touch with a member of the bloodstock team sooner rather than later.
"We have already had a number of very appealing race fillies committed to the supplementary catalogue and I think that part of the sale represents a unique opportunity for vendors to capitalise on the undoubted momentum that will be generated by the lots catalogued for the main book.''
Supplementary entries for the Chairman's Sale will remain open until 5pm on Friday April 21.
