Light Shift, the 2007 Oaks heroine, will be covered by last season's champion sire Galileo this year.
The mare, who was bred and is owned by the Niarchos family, gave birth to her first foal, a bay colt by Dansili, on February 4.
Light Shift's victory over Peeping Fawn and All My Loving in the Oaks provided her trainer Henry Cecil with an emotional first Classic victory since Love Divine won the same race seven years before.
The daughter of Kingmambo (Mr. Prospector) had won the Cheshire Oaks on her last run before the Epsom Classic, and afterwards finished placed behind Peeping Fawn in both the Irish Oaks and the Nassau Stakes.
She isa half-sister to Tattersalls Gold Cup heroine Shiva, Prix Foy winner and sire Limnos, and Listed winner Burning Sunset, herself dam of the Group 3-placed Ikat.
Galileo has already sired a Grade 1 winner out of a granddaughter of Mr. Prospector, in the shape of Breeders' Cup Turf hero Red Rocks, whose dam is by Machiavellian.
