Montjeu has racked up his 100th stakeswinner with the success in South Africa of his daughter Gorongosa.
After a benchmark year in Europe for Montjeu, the five-year-old Gorongosa (Montjeu x Parvenue, by Ezzoud) took out the G3 Racing Association Handicap over 3200m at Turffontein.
An Irish bred mare trained by Mike de Kock, Gorongosa took her record to six wins from nine starts to become the 100th stakeswinner for Montjeu.
Gorongosa is the first stakeswinner for her dam Parvenue, who comes from the family of Group I winner Lycius.
