The only two year old in Europe by leading Australian sire Fastnet Rock will be offered at the 2012 Arqana Breeze Up Sale at Saint Cloud racecourse on May 11 and 12.

The colt is a half brother to G1 Queensland Derby winner Dariana and has been consigned to the sale by The Channel Consignment.

The breezes take place on May 11 on the turf track, with the sale starting the next day.

The catalogue, numbers 165 two year olds of which 85 are eligible for French Breeders' Premiums.

This sale, held on the eve of the French Guineas, is the source of winners at the highest level every year.

Recent graduates include Testosterone, a daughter of Dansili who won the G2 Prix de Malleret and G3 Royaumont last year before finishing second to Galikova in the G1 Prix Vermeille; Best Dating, winner of the G3 Prix du Pin and G2 placed; and Mixed Intention, Listed winner and G2 placed.

Some 89% of the two year olds to go through the ring at the 2010 Breeze Up sale have run and of those 83% have won or been placed.

The catalogue includes a number of fantastic female pedigrees, with no less than 46 two year olds out of black type mares while 47 of the two year olds on offer are brothers or sisters to Group or Listed performers by stallions such as Acclamation, Anabaa, Arch, Cape Cross, Dalakhani, Danehill Dancer, Desert Style, Elusive City, Elusive Quality, Galileo, Giant's Causeway, Green Tune, High Chaparral, Invincible Spirit, King's Best, Lemon Drop Kid, Marju, Medaglia d'Oro, Medicean, Mr. Greeley, Muhtathir, Orpen, Pivotal, Rock of Gibraltar, Shamardal, Slickly, Sinndar, Street Cry, Verglas and Zamindar.

The sale also offers horses by young stallions on the cusp of becoming first rate sires. This is the case for Holy Roman Emperor, leading sire of two year olds in Europe in 2011 and represented here by six 2yos.

Among the second season sires whose offspring already made an impact on the track last year are Teofilo, Lawman, Turtle Bowl, Manduro, Hat Trick and Kendargent.

The catalogue also includes 19 two year olds by first season sires such as Astronomer Royal, Duke Of Marmalade, Falco, Henrythenavigator, Sakhee's Secret, Tamayuz, Raven's Pass, Hannouma, Linngari, Mount Nelson and Peer Gynt.
