The catalogue for this week’s Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up Sale features 145 high class two year olds.
Renowned as Europe’s premier sale of two year olds in training, it has produced an impressive 58 Group and Listed performers since 2012 including recent Sydney G1 winner Contributer.
The catalogue features own or half brothers and sisters to 43 Group and Listed winners.They include a Mastercraftsman brother to French Derby and Irish Champion Stakes winner The Grey Gatsby, a Cape Blanco half brother to Toast Of New York, the Oasis Dream half brother to Eclipse winner Mount Nelson and a Distorted Humor half brother to Mastercraftsman.
There are also half and full relations to G1 winner Folk Opera, G1 winner Mani Bhavan, multiple stakes winner Gusto and G3 placed Photo Call from a half sister to Irish 1000 Guineas winner Halfway To Heaven.In total 13 of last year’s top 15 leading sires of two year olds in Britain and Ireland are represented along with nine first crop 2YO sires.
The largest consignments come from Irish nurseries Bansha House Stables and Mocklershill, which have teams of 15 and 14 entered.Both consignors have topped previous renewals of the Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up with Mocklershill heading last year’s sale with the 1.150 million guineas son of War Front.
