Matamata trainer Peter McKay had a successful day at the Counties Cup meeting at Pukekohe on Saturday with his Karaka graduate Undisclosed completing a black type double for him in the Listed Counties Bowl.
Only lightly raced coming into the Listed event, Undisclosed (Pins x Dare to Win) made his way to the front at the 200 metre mark and held on in the final stages to win by a head.
The win was the four-year-old's second at stakes level after claiming the Listed Canterbury Stakes last season.
Now a winner of four of his raceday appearances, Undisclosed continues the remarkable success seen from the cross with his sire Pins and damsire Centaine.
A cross that boasts a winners to runners ratio of 74%, it has produced 12 stakes winners including the G1 NZ Oaks and Kelt Capital Stakes winner Legs, G1 Caulfield Guineas winner Econsul and Group winners Somepin Anypin, Crepe de Chine and Pins 'n' Needles.
With 99 runners on the track the cross boasts a stakes winners to runners ratio of 12%.
Bred by Trevor Luke & Ms L Williams and raced by Luke in partnership with Peter and Kim McKay, Undisclosed was purchased by Montego Lodge Partnership from Shelby Park at New Zealand Bloodstock's 2009 Karaka Premier Sale for $100,000.
Standing at Waikato Stud, Pins sired the second highest priced lot at the NZB Ready to Run Sale last week, the colt from the G2 winning Zabeel mare Laebeel, the dam of the G3 winner Larry's Never Late (Pentire) and stakes winner Collar (O'Reilly), bought for $390,000.
