Talented Kiwi juvenile Dufellforte became the first winner for he young sire Fully Fledged when he won at Pukekura in New Plymouth on December 27.
Dufellforte was just the second runner for Fully Fledged and also gave Lonhro his first winner as a broodmare sire.
Fully Fledged was a G1 winner of the Ford Diamond Stakes. He was retired to Fairdale Stud times with three wins from 16 starts after injuring a tendon in the G2 Phar Lap Stakes at Rosehill as an autumn three-year-old.
He has proven popular with breeders and covered a book of 75 mares this year, the fourth of his stud career.

Shezadorable was purchased as a foal for $120,000 at the 2007 Magic Millions National Sale and died giving birth to the youngster.Dufellforte's great-granddam Tidal Light won the 1986 New Zealand Derby, Air NZ Stakes and Canterbury Guineas in Sydney.
Dufellforte may be set for the G2 Wakefield Challenge Stakes, a race where disaster befell Fully Fledged in 2008 when he crashed through the running rail when looking certain to win.
Fully Fledged’s first crop sold to $75,000 at Karaka in 2012. He has 7 yearlings catalogued for the NZ Bloodstock Select and Festival Sales at Karaka in February.
Eight of his progeny went through the ring during the Select session of the 2012 National Yearling sales, with seven sold at an aggregate of $334,500 and average of $47,786.
