Notable Group One sire Stravinsky will return to Cambridge Stud in New Zealand for the 2011 breeding season.
Sir Patrick Hogan is delighted to have the son of N ureyev returning to Cambridge after his shuttle time appeared to be at end in 2009 when he left Japan.
“When he returned to Japan after the 2009 season I thought he might never be seen in the southern hemisphere again,” Hogan said.
Stravinsky will not be shuttling to Japan again.
Stravinsky began hs shuttle career in 2000 when he rotated between Coolmore's Ashford Stud in Kentucky and New Zealand.
The July Cup winner has sired G1 winners Mr Baritone, Serenade Rose, Keeninsky, Captivate and Time Keeper from his southern hemisphere crops.
His NH products include G1 winning sprinters Benbaun, Balmont and Soldier's Tale.
Balmont and Soldier's Tale are now at stud I Australia. Other sons of Stravinsky at atsud include Keeninsky, Patapan, Saperavi, Chinese Dragon and Oratorio.
Stravinsky will stand at Cambridge for $25,000 with Zabeel ($100,000), Keeper ($17,500), Tavistock ($12,500) and Lucky Unicorn ($5,000).
