Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Friday’s meeting at Mudgee.

Silver Art (Race 1) is now second pick in the market at $4.60 after firming close to two and a half points. He steps up in distance and looks a good chance if he can repeat his effort of two starts ago when runner up at Bathurst.

Are You Sure (Race 7) could be worth an each way ticket in the Mudgee Cup after opening well into double figures but shortening six points to $7. He made ground last time after resuming with a placing at Muswellbrook and should be peaking third up.

Fancy Knickers (Race 8) has been backed into favouritism at $3.40, 60 cents shorter than his opening quote. Missed narrowly when resuming and won her only previous second up run so improvement is expected.
